What is the number one instructional resource teachers can use to motivate and engage their students, while simultaneously strengthening academic skills?

This resource will save you time researching and planning for a motivating lesson that will engage your students and provide opportunities to build academic skills and strategies. Plus, you'll be able to collect academic data to measure learning.

SO WHAT ARE STEAM LITERACY LESSONS?

Simply put, STEAM literacy lessons are using children's literature as a foundational resource to build academic skills and strategies, while motivating and engaging students across the K-6 curriculum. Lessons focus on science, technology, engineering, art, mathematics, and yes . . . even literacy.

The STEAM Literacy Resources are the perfect learning blend!

SO WHAT'S THE PROBLEM?

Teaching a complete curriculum to 25+ students who happen to come with diverse experiences and interests, as well as academic skills and behavior needs is a challenge for today's educators.
.
Furthermore, additional duties, trainings, and after school activities make it difficult for educators to plan engaging lessons to personalize learning.
This is a real struggle, my friend.

What have I noticed in the field?
When coaching educators on literacy instruction, I often see they are not sure how to examine a text and pull multiple lessons to support their students' developing academic skills and strategies.

Did you know, a picture book can be utilized to teach multiple lessons, engage and motivate students? When done properly, the educator is better able to assess learning and meet individual needs.

This is exactly where the STEAM Literacy Resources come into play!
In this resource, we focus on the text, Love, Splat, by planning, designing, and creating a Valentine box that will hold Splat's valentine cards. Throughout the project, students engage in developing literacy and math skills, the foundation of an elementary curriculum.

Therefore, I am excited to share this FREE resource that will motivate and engage your students to develop skills and strategies across the curriculum.
